SAAB mobile RBS 70 NG weapon station armored vehicle SITDEF 12105174.

A scale model of a Stryker 8x8 armoured vehicle fitted a remotely operated weapon station armed with three launchers of RBS 70 NG missile was showed on the booth of SAAB during SITDEF 2017.

The RBS 70 NG is a man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) designed and manufactured by the Swedish Company SAAB. The RBS 70 NG is based on the RBS 70 with new-generation sighting system, high precision, unbeatable range and unjammable laser guidance.

The RBS 70 NG system can destroy targets within the maximum distance of 8,000 m and altitude of 5,000 m. It can be integrated with Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) interrogator to identify friendly targets.

The mobile RBS 70 NG weapon station can be fitted with one to three launchers of RBS70 NG missiles offering the same level of performances. All the firing operations can be performed from inside of the vehicle using same sighting system as the ground launcher station in combination with unjammable laser guidance offers high level of precision strike capability;
