AAD 2018: Streit Group showcases its new Falcon 4x4 APC Armored Personnel Carrier.

Canadian-based Company Streit Group unveils a 4x4 Armored Personnel Carrier APC vehicle nicknamed Falcon at AAD 2018, the International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition that takes place in South Africa. Falcon-APC Armored Personnel Carrier can be deployed for various missions as peace keeping operations, convoy escort, counter terrorist operations and more.

Impressive power and handling make the Falcon equally suited to urban and off-road deployment; the vehicle offers excellent protection against both ballistic and blast threats with crew compartment protection of CEN Level SR6 / SR7 armor in various applications ranging from a battle field ambulance up to a fully armed direct fire vehicle.

STREIT Group offers a wide range of extra additional features which can be integrated on the Falcon during manufacturing phase-guaranteeing total compatibility The Falcon APC can be fitted with different types of armament including rocket launcher systems, remote-controlled weapon stations, smoke-grenade launchers as well as internal equipment as night-vision, high speed camera, fully integrated intercoms systems and more.

The Streit Group Falcon has a length of 5.7 m, a width of 2.33 m and a height of 2.4 m. It can carry a payload of 1,500 kg. The standard version of the Falcon APC accommodates driver, commander and 7 soldiers. It can be armed with a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun or 30 mm automatic grenade launcher. The armament is mounted on the top of the roof which has a single hatch.

The Streit Group Falcon is motorized with a Cummins ISB 6.7 liter Diesel engine developing 385 hp. coupled to an Allison-3000 automatic transmission. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed from 125 to 140 km/h.
