IMUT presents the ST-500 4x4 armored vehicle at EDEX 2018.
Egypt's International Marathon United Technology Group (IMUT) is introducing two brand new armored vehicles at this first edition of EDEX defense exhibition. Among them is the ST-500 4x4 amored vehicle, which has been designed for a wide range of missions.

Impressive power and handling make the ST-500 equally suited to urban and off-road deployment; the vehicle offers excellent protection against both ballistic and blast threats with crew compartment protection of CEN Level SR6 / SR7 armor in various applications ranging from a battle field ambulance up to a fully armed direct fire vehicle.
International Marathon United Technology Group (IMUT) offers a wide range of extra additional features which can be integrated on the ST-500 during manufacturing phase-guaranteeing total compatibility. This vehicle can be fitted with different types of armament including rocket launcher systems, remote-controlled weapon stations, smoke-grenade launchers as well as internal equipment as night-vision, high speed camera, fully integrated intercoms systems and more.
The IMUT ST-500 has a length of 5.65 m, a width of 2.4 m and a height of 3.15 m. It features a curb weight of 8,000 kg and can carry a payload of 2,500 kg.
The troop carrier version of the ST-500 accommodates driver, commander and five soldiers. It can be armed with a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun or 30 mm automatic grenade launcher. The armament is mounted on the top of the roof which has a single hatch.
In ambulance variant, the ST-500 can carry a 3-strong crew and 2 patients on stretcher. It can also be modified to serve as mortar or rocket launcher carrier, using a crew of three.
The ST-500 is motorized with a Cummins QSB 6.7 liter Diesel intercooled turbo charged engine developing 275 hp. coupled to an Allison-3000SP automatic transmission. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed from 120 to 135 km/h.
