It is equipped with an enhanced collision avoidance system and a threat analysis software that also includes mission planning. It can operate autonomously with video motion detection. In fact, ECARS is a multi-mission and multi-sensor platform made capable to reach various places thanks to its all-terrain and amphibious design, climbing slopes of 45° maximum, under temperatures spanning from -40°C to +40°C. The vehicle can reach up to 20 km/h when manually driven, or 10-15 km/h in autonomous missions. Following the local operational parameters, the operator can select wi-fi or a radio frequence to pilot the vehicle.
ECARS can operate up to 24 hours continuous when working on battery and generator, or 6 hours continuous in silent mode.
