As Andreea Leoveanu, marketing & sales maneger of Pro Optica, explained to Army Recognition, the Anubis RCWS is gyrostabilized in two axes and can accommodate either a 7.62 or a 12.7mm machine gun. It is equipped with a thermal imager, a CDD camera and an automatic fire control system. There's an easy-safe laser range finder. By night, the observation capabilities vary: detection ranges up to 6 km for a vehicle, 3 km for a human being, these distances being reduced to one-third for identification. The auto-tracking of a target and the image stabilization are optional. Another option is a ballistic protection of level 2 STANAG 4569against 7.62x39mm at 30 meters.
