DSEI 2023: MARSS introduces mobile CUAS system NiDAR X-Scout.

| 2023

During the DSEI 2023 event, MARSS, a Monegasque company active in defense and security technology, unveiled the NiDAR X-Scout, a Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (CUAS) expeditionary solution designed for rapid deployment. The system can be easily deployed on the flatbed of a Land Cruiser, a commonly used pickup truck in the Middle East. It can be transported by various means, including pickup trucks, military vehicles, or air-dropped, making it adaptable to various locations and capable of operating as a standalone unit for over a week.

Despite its compact size, the X-Scout retains all the key features of MARSS' NiDAR Expeditionary CUAS systems, utilizing proprietary hybrid intelligence software and an interface that combines multiple sensors for efficient threat detection and neutralization.

Key features of this mobile system include advanced cameras, radar, and radio frequency (RF) detection capable of spotting a CAT2 UAS from over 15 kilometers away. It also offers RF jamming capabilities and seamless integration with various counter UAS effectors, such as MARSS' Short-Range and Medium-Range Interceptors, for remote or autonomous threat neutralization.

Frederik Giepmans, Managing Director at MARSS Safety & Security, highlighted X-Scout's ease of deployment and its ability to cater to the needs of customers seeking an expedition-ready solution that can operate autonomously and integrate with other sensor stations. Operators can remotely deploy X-SCOUT with minimal training in under five minutes.

Frederik Giepmans emphasized the system's adaptability and cost-efficiency, making it a versatile choice for various customer requirements, whether deployed in forward operations, on the battlefield, or in public spaces, providing comprehensive protection against UAS threats.

Established in 2005, MARSS is recognized for its technology contributions. With over 15 years of extensive experience, its collaborations span the EU, NATO, security agencies, academia, and industry. MARSS leverages innovation and technology to provide security against emerging threats, safeguarding nations, critical infrastructure, naval assets, security operations, and more.

MARSS' product family includes products such as the NiDAR X-JOC, a C2 Center for UAS detection, the portable anti-drone system Interceptor-SR, the C-UAS AI-enabled Interceptor-MR, and the RADiRguard City, a surveillance system aimed at enhancing security in urban environments.
