Northrop Grumman Corporation and Serco have entered into a strategic partnership agreement to work on the British Army's Collective Training Transformation Program (CTTP). The deal has been disclosed at the DSEI 2023 event in London.

Northrop Grumman coordinates and delivers training exercises that the British Army has participated in for over a decade. The company also provides networked training by linking training environments that simulate real-world scenarios. Serco provides training, engineering, and infrastructure solutions and has provided support services for various operations, including military bases.

Nick Chaffey, managing director of Northrop Grumman UK, and Doug Umbers, managing director of UK defense at Serco, announced the deal. Chaffey said the team is capable of providing solutions for the British Army, while Umbers said the collaboration aims to understand and meet the needs of the British Army.

The CTTP will use synthetic training environments and advanced data to deliver a new training system known as the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS). The British Army plans to use ACTS to train military personnel for future war scenarios.

The collaboration aims to combine Northrop Grumman's experience in training technologies with Serco's ability to integrate services. The companies plan to develop training solutions to improve the British Army's mission readiness.
