The JN1199 system consists of a C2 station, V/UHF jamming station, L/S/C jamming station, and X/Ku jamming station. It is designed for use in air defense operations, enabling the interception of V/UHF, L, and C signals, location, and barrage jamming. The system is capable of intercepting aerial targets, providing early warnings, and disrupting or weakening enemy radio communications and navigation, thereby sabotaging opposing air command and control networks.

Key features of the JN1199 include its ability to intercept long-range targets and perform long-distance direction finding (DF) operations. It also offers high-power jamming efficiency and a wide instantaneous jamming beam. These features make the JN1199 an important tool in electronic warfare, enhancing a military's ability to control the electromagnetic spectrum in air defense scenarios.

The unveiling of the JN1199 at EDEX 2023 underscores the technological expertise of the Chinese electronics industry and highlights the increasing importance of electronic warfare systems in modern military strategies. With the ongoing evolution of defense technologies, systems like the JN1199 are likely to play a key role in shaping future combat operations.
