This year, the event will feature over 400 exhibitors from 46 countries, highlighting cutting-edge military equipment and systems. Army Recognition is an official media partner of EDEX2023.
The expo is expected to draw the attention of defense officials and military delegations worldwide, who will gather to explore the latest defense technologies and systems. It will facilitate the exchange of ideas and strengthen relationships among key industry players. EDEX 2023 will host 22 country pavilions from various nations, including Armenia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, South Korea, the United States, and many others.
Organized by Arabian Word Events (AWE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Military Production, and the Arab Organization for Industrialization, EDEX is the largest defense event in Africa. The exhibition is a unique platform for showcasing cutting-edge technology and military products, including a special display of the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production's capabilities. More than 100 countries have been invited, with an expected attendance of 35,000 visitors over the event's four days.
EDEX 2023 will present a wide array of defense and security companies, covering sectors like land vehicles, air and coastal defense, shipbuilding, cybersecurity, missile systems, unmanned systems, and more. This represents a crucial opportunity to explore the forefront of defense innovations. Top military equipment manufacturers such as Amstone, Dassault Aviation, Hanwha, MBDA, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing support the event.
EDEX has seen an increase in participation, from 376 exhibitors from 41 countries in 2018 to nearly 400 from 42 countries in 2021, along with a significant attendance of VIP delegations and visitors. Hopefully, this year's edition will continue this trajectory of expansion and influence in the global defense landscape.
