The Iraqi Islamic Resistance revealed that its militants had orchestrated six attacks on four US military sites in the two countries. Three separate strikes were directed at the Ain al-Assad base, a key US military site in western Iraq, with an additional offensive targeting a facility near Erbil International Airport. The remaining strikes targeted the US military base at Tel Bider in northern Syria and the Al-Tanf base in the southern part of the country.

In a statement, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance unveiled the Al-Aqsa 1, a medium-range missile now operational and apparently used in the recent attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria. The group's statement linked the attacks to a broader response against what it perceives as Zionist encroachments in Gaza, facilitated by US policies. "Monday marks the unveiling of the medium-range Aqsa 1 missile, employed in operations against US bases in Iraq and Syria. We act in accordance with Allah's will," the statement declared.

The design of the Al-Aqsa 1 missile, particularly its front fins, suggests that it is precision-guided. Analysis of its visible dimensions indicates that it shares characteristics with the Iranian Fath-360 missile, which has a range of 120 km, a payload of 150 kg, and a diameter of 360 mm. Based on similarities with the Fath-360 missile, it can be assumed that the Al-Aqsa 1 missile is propelled by a solid propellant engine and uses a guidance system to reach its target.

On November 3, 2023, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance proclaimed the imminent launch of a new phase of operations against what it calls its enemies, promising solidarity with Palestine and avenging its fallen comrades. The group promised that the upcoming actions would be "tougher and broader" in scope, targeting US bases in the region.
