During Partner 2023, a new Serbian anti-tank missile is presented. The Malyutka 2F is a guided anti-tank missile developed by the Military Technical Institutes under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia. This missile is a modified version of the anti-armor Malyutka 9M14P1 and comes equipped with a thermobaric warhead. This warhead is designed to neutralize a variety of targets, including unarmored vehicles, ground troops, firing posts, and fortifications.

The Malyutka is a wire-guided anti-tank missile system originally developed in the Soviet Union. It was the first man-portable anti-tank guided missile of the Soviet Union and is probably the most widely produced anti-tank missile of all time. Although it has been supplanted by more advanced anti-tank guided missiles, the Malyutka and its variants have seen widespread use in nearly every regional conflict since the 1960s. The Malyutka 2F is an evolution of the original Malyutka anti-tank missile.

The missile is capable of striking targets at distances ranging from a minimum of 500 meters to a maximum of 3,000 meters. This makes it a versatile weapon for different combat scenarios. The thermobaric warhead creates an overpressure of 0.3 bar at a distance of 7 meters from the center of the explosion, enhancing its destructive capabilities. This warhead contains 8 kg of TNT.

In terms of its physical dimensions, the Malyutka 2F has a length that varies between 800 and 900 millimeters, with a caliber of 125 millimeters. The wingspan of the missile is 393 millimeters. These dimensions contribute to the missile's aerodynamic properties, allowing for a flight speed of nearly 400 km/h. The missile itself weighs between 12 to 13 kilograms, making it relatively lightweight and easier to deploy.

The Malyutka 2F employs a semi-automatic guidance system, which is facilitated through a microcable for the transfer of commands. This ensures a higher level of accuracy during flight. The missile is also capable of a maximum lateral acceleration greater than 20 m/s². The semi-automatic guidance system contributes to a shooting probability of over 80%.
