This state-of-the-art system is set to bolster the capabilities of the Polish army in the coming years.

The HOMAR-K, a Polish adaptation of the South Korean K239 Chunmoo MLRS, stands as a testament to international collaboration and innovation. Notably, this variant will be domestically produced in Poland, utilizing the robust Polish Jelcz 882 8x8 military truck as its foundation.

One of the highlights of the MSPO 2023 showcase was the HOMAR-K's launcher pod, designed to fire both conventional rockets and surface-to-surface tactical missiles. The Chunmoo K-MLRS, from which the HOMAR-K is derived, boasts dual launch pods. These pods can discharge a variety of rocket calibers and are mounted on a turntable, allowing a full 360° traverse.

The versatility of the Chunmoo system is evident in its diverse rocket loadout options. Rockets compatible with this system range from high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) and incendiary to smoke, illumination, and cargo warheads equipped with anti-tank or pre-fragmented anti-personnel sub-munitions. Furthermore, the system can be configured with a combination of 20x 130mm rockets and 6x 239mm rockets. The former can target up to 36 km away, while the latter, depending on the variant, can reach between 80 km (non-guided) and 160 km (guided).

Adding to its arsenal, the HOMAR-K can also be equipped with a launcher pod designed to fire two KTSSM (Korean Tactical Surface-to-Surface Missile) Block-II. Depending on the model, the KTSSM can strike targets ranging from 120 to 200 kilometers away. This missile is renowned for its precision, thanks to a top-tier guidance system that integrates GPS, INS (Inertial Navigation System), and terrain-matching guidance. This ensures a circular error probable (CEP) of less than 2 meters, making the HOMAR-K a formidable addition to the Polish army's capabilities.
