The Fennec 2 is based on the chassis of the Suzuki Jimny, Euro 3 compliant, with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 1.65 tons. It features compact yet robust dimensions, measuring 3695 mm in length, 1600 mm in width, and 1670 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2250 mm. These dimensions, combined with a ground clearance of 190 mm, provide exceptional agility on rough terrains.

Under the hood, the Fennec 2 is equipped with a 1500 cc inline 4-cylinder diesel engine, the renowned Renault 1.5 DCI, which develops 105 horsepower thanks to multipoint electronic injection. This engine is supported by a 60-liter fuel tank, offering sufficient range for extended missions. The braking systems include front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, ensuring optimal safety.

The robustness of the Fennec 2 is also evident in its reinforced front and rear suspension and its rigid three-link axle with coil springs. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a rear differential lock, essential for operations on difficult terrain. For emergency situations, the vehicle is equipped with a pneumatic jack and two sand ladders.

The design of the Fennec 2 incorporates elements of safety and practicality, such as a roll bar with a folding double windshield, a foldable rear tailgate, and a reinforced bumper ready to accommodate a winch. The spare wheel is cleverly mounted on a protection hoop, and the cabin includes weapon mounts for each occupant and a laptop support for the front passenger.

In terms of comfort, the Fennec 2 has three seats, including a swiveling rear seat, all equipped with seat belts. The vehicle’s customizable options include a light bar, a front luggage rack mount, a pioneer kit, and removable winches at the front and/or rear, allowing users to adapt the vehicle to their specific needs.

The Fennec 2, with its improved performance, ability to navigate difficult terrains, and design focused on safety and practicality, stands out as an interesting vehicle for defense and security forces.
