According to Northrop Grumman, the CBAD uses Bushmaster Chain Guns equipped with advanced ammunition to affordably counter the increasing threat of massive aerial raids. Future conflicts are expected to involve larger raid sizes targeting previously secure bases and critical infrastructure. The CBAD system offers a scalable, cost-effective, and resilient terminal defense against these mass air threats.
