NAVDEX 2021: Milkor from South Africa displays MN Centurion Interceptor.
According to a press release published by Milkor during NAVDEX 2021, the firm displays MN Centurion Interceptor. High-speed interceptor craft has arrived at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for the show and demonstrations.
MN Centurion Interceptor
The Milkor MN Centurion high-speed interceptor craft is a 12 m stepped hull, hydrofoil-assisted catamaran design with lightweight composite structure and a reduced radar signature. Designed and configured for multi-role operations, it is ideally suited for long endurance missions. The command and control bridge is shock-mitigated, ballistic-protected, and air-conditioned able to house the crew in safety and comfort. The high-speed interceptor craft houses an array of surveillance equipment, communications equipment, and weapons giving it a full spectrum of capabilities for any inshore or offshore operation. Milkor designs, manufacture and offers after-sales service for Naval and Commercial requirements.
The MN Centurion high-speed interceptor craft is designed to perform long-endurance patrolling and intercepting while still having the ability to travel at high speeds. The boat can be fitted with either 2 outboard petrol motors or 2 inboard diesel engines. She can reach a top speed of 47 knots and a cruising speed from 30 to 40 knots. The boat has a length of 12 m, a beam of 4.8 m, and a displacement of 10,000 kg.
