The STAMP-2 system offers remote control functionality for precise maneuvering, featuring a high-precision dual-axis gyro-stabilized independent electro-optic sight for automatic target detection and tracking. It includes automatic ballistic calculation to ensure a high hit probability, even in challenging conditions.
A distinctive feature of the STAMP-2 is its below-deck ammunition reloading system, designed for rapid and efficient reloading without compromising operational readiness. Additionally, an integrated training simulator is included, allowing military personnel to practice in a simulated environment.
The system incorporates an advanced graphical user interface for seamless control. Picture-in-picture functionality enhances situational awareness, and the system supports wireless operability and networking of multiple weapon stations for coordinated efforts in various situations.
ASELSAN highlights the modular structure of the STAMP-2, allowing for easy upgrades and options to adapt to evolving requirements. The system's reliability and straightforward integration make it suitable for deployment across different military platforms.
In terms of technical specifications, the turret weighs 360 kg without the gun and ammunition, ensuring manageable deployment. The below-deck weight is kept under 20 kg. The system is compatible with various guns, including 7.62mm and 12.7mm machine guns, as well as a 40mm grenade launcher. Ammunition stowage capacity is capped at less than 250 pieces.
The STAMP-2's versatility extends to its application, finding utility in asymmetric warfare, counter-terrorism, anti-smuggling operations, coastal defense, and base protection. It is suitable for deployment on naval platforms such as patrol boats, coast guard boats, combat ships, and landing ships.
Sub-units comprising the STAMP-2 system include the stabilized turret, gun control unit, high-accuracy stabilized gimbal, electro-optic sight with a thermal camera, TV camera, laser range finder, fire control computer, system interface unit, and batteries. The STAMP-2's power supply operates at 28 VDC, ensuring compatibility with various military platforms.
