At Dubai Air Show, the UAE-based Company Streit Group showcases its range of military and security vehicles which respond to the demand of modern military and security forces from all over the world. Streit Group vehicles have withstood countless attacks over the years from sniper and attempted assassinations of VIP’s to improvised explosive devices.

At Dubai Air Show 2015, Streit Group displays three types of vehicle, the Varan a 6x6 armoured fighting vehicle dedicated for military forces, the Predator riot control vehicle especially designed for security forces and the armored Mercedes G63 6x6 which can be used as VIP vehicle with full armour and high mobility.
The Streit Group Varan represents the latest innovations and technologies for wheeled tactical armoured vehicle with advanced ballistic and blast protection. With its superior mobility, the Varan gets crew moving across threatening terrain in the most risky conditions, making it the single most effective counter to IEDs. The Streit Group Varan 6x6 is a tactical armored vehicle with advanced ballistic and blast protection, ensuring crew survivability in the modern day battle field is paramount. Varan can be used as a platoon strength troop carrier with 8 dismounts, a commander and driver. A large caliber weapons system can be fitted to a (RWS Remote Weapon Station) allow Varan to act as a ground support platform for dismounted troops, or be fitted with ATGW (Anti-Tank Guided Weapons) as a frontline offensive vehicle.

The Streit Group Predator is a 4x4 Riot Water Cannon vehicle designed and manufactured by the Streit Group Company based in United Arab Emirates. The vehicle is mainly designed to be used as riot control vehicle. The Predator was unveiled for the first time during the IDEX Abu Dhabi international defense exhibition in February 2013. The Predator Armored Riot Control Vehicle is one of Streit's latest innovative products - the vehicle offers excellent maneuverability in urban terrains.
The Predator is equipped with a technologically advanced remote controlled water cannon with features to meet the pressure for emergency crowd control. The Streit Group Predator Riot Control Vehicle is fitted with two water cannon mounted at the top front of the vehicle. Each water cannon shoots up to a distance from 55 to 70 meters. with a pressure up to 20 bar.
Water pump for the cannon is designed by the German Company Ziegler. Depending on the truck chassis model, 6.500 to 12.000 liters of water can be carried by the vehicle. The centralized vehicle control panel operates the water cannons which features direction control, water cannon camera and LCD color display. |
