Russia Completes Full Delivery of High-Precision Weapons for 2024 Contracts.

In December 2024, the Kalashnikov Concern successfully fulfilled all its contracts for the delivery of high-precision weapons, marking an achievement in the company's operations. Among the delivered systems were surface-to-air guided missiles (SAMs) for the Strela air defense system, air-launched guided anti-tank missiles "Vikhr-1," and guided artillery shells "Kitolov-2M." These weapons, which have seen substantial use in the ongoing Special Military Operation (SMO), have experienced a significant increase in both production and deployment.

To meet the growing demand for these systems, Kalashnikov has expanded its production capabilities. Throughout 2024, the company increased its output by 50% compared to the previous year. This growth was supported by the opening of new production facilities equipped with the latest technology, as well as investments in new machinery and workforce expansion. Kalashnikov acquired over 450 new machines and created 120 new jobs, which enhanced its capacity to deliver high-quality weaponry on time and in large quantities.

The 9M333 missile, delivered as part of the contract, is a vital component of the Strela-10 air defense system and its variants. This missile is designed to engage low-flying aircraft, helicopters, drones, and cruise missiles, even in the presence of sophisticated optical jamming. Its ability to operate effectively under challenging conditions has made it an essential tool in modern defense operations.

Additionally, the 122mm "Kitolov-2M" artillery shell, equipped with semi-active laser guidance, provides enhanced targeting capabilities. It can effectively engage both stationary and moving targets, whether armored or unarmored, and can also strike fortified structures from 122mm caliber artillery systems. This capability is crucial for engaging a wide range of enemy threats in various operational contexts.

The "Vikhr-1" guided missile, delivered by Kalashnikov, is specifically designed for precision strikes against enemy armored vehicles, fortifications, and medium-speed aerial targets such as helicopters, attack aircraft, and UAVs. Deployed primarily on the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance-strike helicopter, this missile enhances the effectiveness of Russia’s armed forces in modern combat scenarios.

Kalashnikov's ability to fulfill all these contracts on time is a direct result of its strategic investment in production facilities. The company’s revenue for the first ten months of 2024 surpassed its entire 2023 earnings by 14.5%, reflecting a significant uptick in demand for its products and the growing need for reliable, high-performance military systems.

Alan Lushnikov, CEO of Kalashnikov Concern and member of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, emphasized the company's ongoing commitment to supporting national defense. "Timely fulfillment of obligations to the state is a strategic task that Kalashnikov has accomplished," Lushnikov stated. This accomplishment highlights Kalashnikov’s vital role in ensuring the readiness of Russia's military forces with advanced, reliable weapon systems, thus strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.

The successful execution of these contracts underscores Kalashnikov’s continued dedication to enhancing Russia’s military power and operational readiness, as it continues to deliver cutting-edge, high-precision weaponry to meet the demands of modern warfare.
