The AD-40’s command and control architecture includes both acquisition and tracking radars, which collectively enhance the system’s situational awareness and targeting precision. The Pulse Acquisition Radar (AD-40SR) is responsible for long-range target detection, with a range of up to 120 km, covering a full 360-degree azimuth and an elevation from 1 to 18 degrees. This radar can simultaneously process up to 100 targets, primarily focusing on aircraft, UAVs, and helicopters. Complementing it is the Tracker & Illuminator Radar (AD-40TIR), which uses CW Doppler technology for high-precision tracking and illumination of targets. This radar has a range of 80 km, with azimuth coverage from 0-360 degrees and elevation from -5 to +85 degrees, enabling it to guide the missile toward a single, designated target with high accuracy.
