The ZFB05 is light type wheeled armoured vehicle multi special purposes and function armored antiriot vehicle developed and manufactured by Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles Manufacturing CO., Ltd from China, according to the requirements and situations of the domestic and international tasks of safeguarding the social public security and claming down the group rambunctious rebellion, beating the bloodcurdling activities and the armed guarding tasks of the police armed forces.

Armament
The primary weapon of the ZFB05 is a 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun mounted on the roof. Alternatively the vehicle can be armed with a 23mm cannon or 35mm automatic grenade launcher. The weapon station is normally mounted on the forward part of the roof and armament typically consists of a 12.7 mm machine gun which is provided with a shield to provide the gunner with frontal protection. The gunner is provided with a single-piece hatch cover that opens to the rear. Bullet proof windows and associated firing ports are provided so the crew can fire their weapons from within the safety of the vehicle.

Design and protection
The design of the ZFB05 is standard with the engine at the front, crew compartment in the middle and troop's area at the rear. The front side of the crew compartment is fitted with two large bullet-proof windows and one single door on each side of the hull. There is a large door in the rear that opens to the right and has a small bulletproof window. The ZFB05 vehicle body is a full closed down structure. The outline appearance of the vehicle is the slope multi-side geometric form sculpt. The isotope anti-bullet protecting steel plates of the vehicle body have been adopted and welded. The V-form anti-bullet structure has been set up under the vehicle bottom. The same degree anti-bullet glasses are completely installed on all the windows of the vehicle body. Several obvious windows and shooting holes have been designed on the both sides and rear part of the vehicle. The vehicle has the very strong attacking and protecting capabilities. All the sides of the vehicle is protected against the firing of small arms 7.62mm caliber Chinese Type-56 assault rifle (same as Russian AK-47 assault rifle) The ZFB05 provides better armour protection compared to armoured cars based on civilian vehicles, at a lower unit cost compared to the military-standard armoured fighting vehicles. The vehicle is suitable for low-intensity operations such as peacekeeping, riot-control, and law enforcement. However, the experience of the Chinese peacekeeping police in Haiti showed that the vehicle’s armour has been penetrated by small calibres (7.62mm or 5.56mm) automatic weapons during cross-fire. On self-recovery winch is mounted at the front of the hull.

Mobility
The ZFB05 has adopted the Model IVECO-NJ2046 military 4x4 cross-country chassis and is motorized with Model SOFIM 8142.43 87kw turbo-charging inter-cooling diesel engine with a maximum power of 118 hp. The ZFB05 has a maximum road speed of 11 km/h, and a maximum range of 800 km. The starting device of the low temperature -41°C can be installed in the vehicle so that the vehicle can be immediately started in the deep cold regions. The wheels adopt the anti-bullet and anti-exploding tyres.

Combat Equipment
In option the ZFB05 can be equipped with alarm police lights, alarming devices, camera video monitoring devices and circumrotating strong light searching/lighting lamp. Over the rear troop compartment are two outward opening oblong roof hatches. A spare wheel is mounted at the rear of the hull.
