MEADS International President Dave Berganini said, “We appreciate the opportunity to meet with the Armament Inspectorate and discuss the advantages of leveraging the MEADS proven architecture for the Narew program. Only MEADS has demonstrated network-centric capabilities that can combine Poland’s Narew and Wisla defenses into a system of systems. We look forward to continuing discussions with the Armament Inspectorate.” Since it has been developed to integrate existing sensors and missiles, a MEADS-based Narew system can integrate other existing radars and missile systems selected by the Armament Directorate. The solution would provide significant workshare for PGZ, Pit-Radwar, Mesko, HSW, and other key Polish industries. MEADS International, a multinational joint venture headquartered in Orlando, Fla., is the prime contractor for the MEADS system. Major subcontractors and joint venture partners are MBDA in Italy and Germany, and Lockheed Martin in the United States. The NATO program management agency NAMEADSMA is located in Huntsville, Ala. |
