The “Borisoglebsk-2” EW system is developed to conduct electronic reconnaissance and suppression of radio-frequency sources. The “Borisoglebsk-2” EW system has got improved specifications in comparison with the previous EW system “Mandat”: extended frequency coverage of the means of electronic reconnaissance and suppression, faster frequency ranges scanning speed, shortened response time on unknown frequencies, improved radio emitter location accuracy, increased capacity of jamming systems. “The representatives of the manufacturer are configuring the electronic equipment and training the personnel,” Mr. Gordeev stated, noting that electronic warfare specialists will practice using the system for different purposes, such as locating sources of electromagnetic emissions and suppressing communications.
It’s necessary to mention that the Borisoglebsk-2V system consists of several electronic units mounted on the MTLB vehicle. Unlike its predecessors, the complex has a wider range of frequencies accessible for electronic surveillance and suppression, as well as faster frequency scanning. |
