Renault Trucks Defense has delivered 3 MIDS Midlum Security and Public truck to Colombian Police
The MIDS Midlum Security and Public truck designed and manufactured by Renault Trucks Defense is now in service with the Colombian Police Forces. According Colombian newspaper website, Colombian Police has take delivery of three MIDS in 2015 in 4x4 driveline, following an order in 2014.

In 2011 during Milipol, the Worldwide Exhibition of Internal State Security, the French Company Renault Trucks Defense has unveiled its new security and public order truck, the MIDS - Midlum Security and Public Order Vehicle.
 

The MIDS - Midlum Security and Public Order Vehicle is especially designed for public order and internal security missions. Offering a high degree of armored protection in its category, it carries up to 12 police officers in an urban and rural setting.

The technical characteristics allow the vehicle to be customized and equipped with specialized equipment required by the customers.

The MIDS in 4x2 or 4x4 version offers a 20m³ internal volumes. It has a 16t GVW and offers a 3 tons payload. The vehicle can run at a maximum speed of 100 km/h.

The MIDS is a public order vehicle based on the Renault Midlum civil vehicle chassis. More than 50 vehicles have been sold in two countries. Several versions of the vehicle are available for transporting troops or prisoners, or to serve as a command post.

The MIDS truck provides protection against 7.62-mm munitions for a crew of two and 10 police officers. The MIDS comes with a 4x4 or 4x2 driveline and offers excellent urban mobility. It has already been deployed in the field for a number of operations.
