Ukroboronprom is Ready to Equip AT 105 Saxon APC with Combat Modules Shortly

Specialists of “Mayak” company fulfilled task, set by Ukroboronprom, having developed unique kit to mount machine gun on armored vehicles AT-105 Saxon. Due to this development, Saxons will receive combat modules necessary and can be used in combat zone shortly.

Currently, the AT-105 Saxon is always in service with Bahrain, Malaysia, Nigeria and Oman

Machine gun is designed for manpower and fire weapons destruction and is controlled manually; machine gun is set in open hatches of all types of armored vehicles and in door opening of helicopters.

When mounted, machine guns will have a vertical angle of fire from -10 ° to + 45 °,horizontal -180°. Combat fire rate - 250 rounds per minute. Accuracy range - 1300-2000 m, effective fire from machine guns - at distance of up to 1000 m and with maximum range - 3800 m.
Ukroboronprom enterprises are ready to re-equip as many Saxons, as necessary, from combat to medical vehicles. Saxons are fast and mobile to evacuate wounded safely.

On February 12, Ukraine armed forces have taken delivery first batch of British-made 4x4 armoured vehicles AT105 Saxon. The AT105 Saxon has a hull of all-welded steel, with the driver seated at the very front of the hull on the right side and the personnel compartment at the rear. The hull provides the crew with complete protection against small arms fire up to and including 7.62 mm armour-piercing rounds, and HE shell fragments up to 155 mm bursting at 10 m from the vehicle. The floor is V-shaped to give maximum protection against mine blast, except for the axles, which are outside the armoured section.
