Russian Company Kalashnikov presents new hybrid Special Operations vehicle.

At Army-2018, the International Military Technical Forum, Russian Company Kalashnikov Concern has unveiled a new buggy for special operations forces, OV-2, fitted with a hybrid power plant, the Concern’s publication "Kalashnikov Media" reports.

Kalashnikov Concern has presented a hybrid buggy, OV-2, at the Army-2018 forum. It has been developed for the Russian Federation Defense Ministry. The vehicle can travel at a speed of up to 100 km/h and carry up to 4 men, including the driver. The rear drive engine power is 42 kW. The front drive electric engine power is 55 kW, the concern reports.

The vehicle has a spring suspension with a hydraulic shock absorber and twin circuit hydraulic brakes. The vehicle measures 2.9 m in length, 1.8 m in width. The buggy height is no more than 1.5 m.
