Defense & Security Thailand 2019: STM presents its new technologies.

SMT Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. established in 1991, is presented some of its technologies at Defense & Security Thailand, the biennial event which takes place in Bangkok from 18-21 November 2019.

The TS1700 is a diesel-electric submarine developed by STM as a conceptual design. It is propelled with an electric motor, two diesel generators, assisted with an air-independent propulsion (AIP) system. The platform can dive more than 300m depth. It can accommodate 25+6 SF personnel for 90 days at sea on double elastic platforms which prevent the personnel and the devices from devastating effects of underwater explosions. It enables the launch of a variety of 16 modern heavyweight torpedoes and guided missiles from its 8 tubes.

TOGAN is a national multi-rotor rotary-wing UAV solution engineered for general-purpose reconnaissance and surveillance missions with original mission planning software, autonomous intelligence, and operational capabilities. It can be controlled autonomously or via remote control, and be deployed and operated by single personnel. TOGAN can be effectively used against stationary or mobile targets through its embedded real-time image processing capabilities and deep learning algorithms. The system is comprised of the rotary-wing UAV and ground control components.

KARGU is an indigenous rotary-wing UAV solution that can be deployed and operated by single personnel in both autonomous and manual modes, and that has been engineered specifically for anti-terror and asymmetric warfare scenarios. KARGU can rapidly and effectively respond against stationary or mobile targets through its embedded real-time image processing capabilities and deep learning algorithms. The system is comprised of the rotary-wing attack drone (RWAD), a ground control unit, and a UAV recharging station components.

STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. was established in 1991 by the decree of the Defence Industry Executive Committee to provide system engineering, technical support, project management, technology transfer, and logistics support services for Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM).
