Following a transfer of technology, these ATGMs are basically Elbit Systems’ ATMOS 155mm/52caliber truck-mounted howitzers. The howitzer is mounted on a Czech Tatra 6x6 chassis. 70% of the systems are assembled in Thailand at a rate of 6 per year.

The Thai artillery currently operates three batteries, each equipped with 6 guns, but there is a requirement for another three batteries. The Royal Thai Marine Corps will also operate 6 ATMGs that were ordered in 2018 and whose delivery will be completed in 2020. More of them are needed to replace old towed howitzers.

The ATMG can engage targets at ranges exceeding 40 km when firing Explosive Extended-Range Full-Bore projectiles with the Base Burn Unit (ERFB-BB) ammunition and adequate propelling charge. 18 rounds are stored onboard. The ATMG is operated by a 5- to 6-man crew including the driver.
