ISDEF 2019: EMTAN MZ-9 automatic rifle 9 mm in 5" and 7" barrel.
During a live demonstration at ISDEF 2019, the International Defense and Security Exhibition in Tel Aviv, Israel, the Company Emtan presents its MZ-9 series automatic rifle in 5" and 7" barrel. EMTAN is an Israeli manufacturer of small arms with over 40 years of experience and knowledge.

EMTAN manufacture the MZ Rifle family: MZ-4, MZ-9, MZ-15, MZ-47, MZ-300 and other models. Based on the known AR15, EMTAN’s small arms are designed and manufactured according to MIL-SPEC to suit the utmost requirements of any army or police force.
EMTAN’s implementation of its innovative and R&D based materials and processing technologies, and its using the most updated CNC machinery, result in a rifle that is more reliable, more accurate and more ergonomic than the standard issued rifles used by arm forces.
The MZ 9 5¨ is an extremely compact and lightweight modern SMG and feature a short 5” barrel that offers a balanced combination between accuracy and operation in confined spaces (CQB) or as a tactical rappelling weapon.
The MZ 9 7¨ is a modern SMG (Sub-Machine gun) and feature a longer 7” barrel that offers an improved accuracy and muzzle velocity while still keeping an overall short weapon length for operation in confined (CQB) spaces or as a tactical rappelling weapon.
The MZ-9 5" and 7" are chambered in 9x19mm NATO caliber. The MZ-9 5” has a total weight of 2.75 kg, while 7” barrel version has a weight of 2.85 kg, without magazine. Both can use polymer magazine of 10, 20 or 30 rounds.
The MZ-9 is intended for the use of Special Forces, VIP Protection and SWAT units as a main or secondary weapon.
The MZ-9 is supplied with four Picatinny accessory rails as standard and can be fitted with fully ambidextrous controls.
