ISDEF 2019: Orsis from Russia showcases its full range of sniper rifles.
Russian Company Orsis presents its full range of sniper rifles at ISDEF 2019, International Defense and Security Exhibition in Tel Aviv, Israel. One of the sniper rifle presented by Orsis at ISDEF 2019 is the T-5000 series, a Russian-made bolt-action sniper rifle. It was the first product developed by ORSIS, and is produced in their Moscow factory.

The ORSIS T-5000 sniper rifle was introduced in 2011 at the international exhibition of Russian weapons in Nizhny Tagil, and was adopted in 2017 by Russian Special Forces and SWAT team. Curently, the T-5000 is in service with more than 10 countries in the world including China, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, UAE, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Nigeria and Thailand.
The T-5000 is a bolt-action rifle with 2 lug bolt assembly on a glass bedded aluminum frame. Various types of heavy free floating barrels can be fitted. To suit its tactical role the T-5000 is fitted with an adjustable folding stock, rubber pistol grip and large multi-slotted muzzle brake.
The ORSIS T-5000 can be chambered for different types of calibers including.308 Win, .300 Win Mag, .260 Rem, 6.5x47mm Lapua and .338 Lapua Magnum. It feeds from a 5 round detachable box magazine. In the case of .308 Win and .260 Rem, there is also a 10 round magazine available.
The T-5000 chambered for .338 Lapua Magnum has a weight of 6.5 kg, a full length of 1,270 mm (including a barrel of 698.5 mm), a muzzle velocity of 925 m/s, an effective firing range of 1,500 m and a magazine capacity of 5 or 10 cartridges. The company offers the upgraded variant of T-5000 designated as T-5000M (M stands for upgraded, Modernizirovanny). It features new lightweight skeleton stock and extended Picatinny rail on the top of its receiver. T-5000M can be chambered for five types of cartridges, namely, 7.62x51mm, 7.62x67mm (.300 Winchester Magnum), 8.6x70mm, 6.5x47mm Lapua and .260 Remington.
The ORSIS T-5000 sniper rifle in its standard configuration is not equipped with iron sights. Instead, Mil-Std 1913 (Picatinny) rail is provided at the top of the receiver, which allows installation of any type of day or night scope, according to user needs and capabilities. Other accessories may include detachable bipods of various design, sling swivels etc.
