The AAGW (Anti-Aircraft Gun Wheeled Vehicle System) was developed by Hanwha Defense System to offer a new mobile air defense system able to destroy low-altitude air targets as helicopters, aircraft and UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). It makes localized support and self-targeting functionalities possible through electronic optical targeting systems and visual targeting systems.
Mounted in a turret, the two 30-mm KKCB automatic guns are a licensed version of the 30-mm Rheinmetall Air Defense (Oerlikon) KCB gun manufactured by the South Korean S&T group. The turret works with a separate power supply. The armament uses an electronic-optical round-the-clock fire control system without the use of radar and is integrated into the network automated control system of the South Korean air defense command.
The 30mm cannons have a maximum firing range of 3,000 m and can fire at a rate of 600 rounds per minute.
The K808 is a wheeled armored vehicle designed, developed by Hyundai Rotem company as private venture. The K808 has an all-welded armored hull that provides protection against firing of small arms and artillery shell splinters. It can be fitted with add-on armor to increase the level of protection.
The K808 is motorized with a Hyundai Motor Company diesel developing 420 hp. It can run at a maximum road speed of 90 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 800 km. It can climb a vertical obstacle of 0.5 m and cross a trench of 1.5 m.
