The signal units’ communication equipment is being upgraded under the rearmament program, the press office added: "Over the past two years, the signal units have received both advanced and heavily-upgraded military hardware. The talk is about R-149AKSh-1 and R-149MA-1 command vehicles, an R-419L1 radio-relay station, Redut-2US mobile multipurpose communication systems, and automated command posts with software able to reduce decision-making time for headquarters and commanders in future operations," the press office said.

The Central Military District’s 41st Combined-Arms Army is stationed in the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Irkutsk Regions, the Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories and the Tuva Republic. The army is composed of motor rifle, artillery, air defense, NBC protection and signal units.
