U.S. National Guard to benefit from Humvee recapitalization.

South Bend-based AM General LLC has landed a $20 million contract boost from the U.S. Army. The deal involves the recapitalization of Humvees for the U.S. National Guard.

The recapitalization process involves disassembling some vehicles, inspecting the parts, and modifying them to meet updated standards. Work on the deal will be performed in South Bend, with an estimated completion date of September 30. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Contracting Command in Warren, Michigan.
