SIDES Launches D14 Fire&Rescue Truck Designed for Rural and Suburban Emergencies at Eurosatory 2024.


At the international defense and security fair Eurosatory 2024, a new vehicle was showcased during a dynamic presentation. This is the D14 Fire&Rescue by SIDES, a firefighting truck specifically designed for interventions in rural and suburban areas. With its superior crossing capabilities, this truck allows firefighters to reach all-terrain areas previously inaccessible to other vehicles.

The D14 Fire&Rescue features high-quality components that have been continuously developed and improved to ensure faultless reliability under all operational conditions. This truck benefits from advanced technology to guarantee optimal performance on and off the road, with a diagonal crossing capacity of up to 400 mm. It also offers substantial storage capacity with two lateral compartments, significantly enhancing the transport of equipment. The adoption of the "EtoPrime" concept has significantly improved the ergonomics and efficiency of equipment storage. 

Technically, the vehicle is built on a Renault D14 P4x4 CCR 280 Euro 6 chassis, with an engine capable of delivering up to 280 horsepower (206 kW) at 2100 rpm and a manual transmission. The secure and spacious cabin accommodates up to six people and is equipped with four doors and an internal ROPS structure for rollover protection.

The water and foam system is robust, incorporating a SIDES SB 15-2000 pump and a SIDES AAP primer capable of reaching up to 9 meters. The tank has a capacity of 2950 liters, made from coated steel or 316L stainless steel, and is secured to the chassis by a three-point elastic system. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a foam injection system capable of producing up to 400 liters per minute at 3%.
