At IDEF 2025, Turkish Company Otokar reinforced its position as a trusted supplier to NATO and United Nations forces, presenting the combat-proven COBRA II in two mission-ready versions: one equipped with an open turret specific to the Romanian contract, and another fitted with the 25 mm MIZRAK turret for enhanced battlefield performance. The COBRA II, already deployed by over 20 end-users worldwide, features high protection against mines, IEDs, and ballistic threats, along with multi-role modularity for use in missions such as APC, CBRN, reconnaissance, command and control, and medical evacuation.

The ARMA family of vehicles was another focal point, with the ARMA 6x6 on display with a 25 mm MIZRAK turret and the ARMA 8x8 featuring a 30 mm system. Otokar also presented three ARMA variants at the Aselsan stand: the KORKUT low altitude air defense system, PUHU mobile electronic warfare vehicle, and the HPEM DRAGON anti-drone solution. Meanwhile, the next-generation ARMA II 8x8, with its 40-ton GVW and integrated John Cockerill 105 mm turret, showcased Otokar’s expanded capabilities in heavy armored platforms with increased payload and protection levels.

The TULPAR tracked armored vehicle drew significant attention with two configurations on display. In addition to the standard MIZRAK 30 mm turret version, the vehicle was unveiled in Türkiye for the first time with the Leonardo HITFACT MkII 120 mm turret. With variants ranging up to 45 tons, TULPAR offers a versatile platform for multiple mission profiles, including light tank, IFV, fire support, and air defense roles, delivering superior mobility in terrains where main battle tanks cannot operate effectively.

Completing Otokar’s exhibition were the AKREP II reconnaissance vehicle with a John Cockerill 90 mm turret, designed for high mobility and low-profile operations, and the COBRA II MRAP, engineered for maximum survivability against IEDs and mines. The modular URAL 4x4, adapted for internal security and personnel transport missions, was also featured, underscoring Otokar’s comprehensive land platform capabilities. With more than 33,000 vehicles in service across 40 countries, Otokar continues to lead Turkish defense exports and expand its footprint through strategic technology transfers and international production programs.
