The Essential Decon system represents an advancement in protection against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats. It is specifically designed to provide a rapid and effective response in the event of contamination, thus minimizing the impact on operational forces and enabling them to maintain their freedom of action. The system can simultaneously decontaminate vehicles and personnel, ensuring maximum efficiency under challenging operational conditions.
Mounted on an all-terrain vehicle, the Essential Decon system allows easy access to contaminated areas and quick on-site decontamination. Its modular and compact design facilitates deployment and use, thereby reducing implementation time and operator training requirements. Additionally, the use of the vehicle's engine to power the hydraulic pumps reduces the system's volume, weight, and noise, thus enhancing operational efficiency and field discretion.
The system is also designed to be compatible with a wide variety of military vehicles, thanks to its optimized integration and modular capabilities. It includes high-pressure washing, decontamination, and rinsing stations using heated water to ensure thorough decontamination. The choice of ultra-compact standalone modules allows for new applications and rapid implementation.
Furthermore, the system is equipped to handle vehicles ranging from light trucks to heavy armored vehicles, including tanks. This makes it a valuable asset for field decontamination missions, ensuring the safety and operational readiness of troops.
During this outdoor demonstration, we witnessed the Essential Decon cleaning and decontaminating a Fortress Mk2 from Arquus, which was also showcased during this outdoor event—a vehicle covered by Army Recognition on June 16, 2024. Continue following us for more updates from Eurosatory 2024.
