The AJAX, formerly known as the Scout SV (Specialist Vehicle), is a program for the British Army to provide a new generation of light-tracked reconnaissance armored vehicles family. The Scout SV program is led by the Company General Dynamics UK with the goal to replace the CVRT (light armored vehicle) fleet of the British Army and to be the British Army's Tracked Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance.

The Scout SV Repair also nicknamed Apollo is one of two Equipment Support variants of the Scout SV family to be used in a complementary manner to deliver a coherent capability. The Equipment Support Repair will be used to tow battlefield damaged vehicles and lift heavy subassemblies.

The ARES is the tracked APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) variant of the Scout SV family now called AJAX family. In June 2014, at DVD (Defence Vehicle Dynamics), General Dynamics UK has unveiled the first pre-production prototype of PMRS (Protected Mobility Recce Support), now called ARES armored personnel carrier. The PMRS will provide safe transportation of fully-equipped soldiers in a well-protected environment.

The Scout SV Recovery alos nicknamed Atlas is one of two Equipment Support variants of Scout SV family to be used in a complementary manner to deliver a coherent capability. It is fitted with a recovery package that is optimised to provide the most effective means of recovering a casualty vehicle.
