Airbus Defence and Space has developed and delivered a transmit/receive (T/R) module for the German Armed Forces’ (Bundeswehr’s) software-controlled radio system after passing the final acceptance stage. The user will test nine broadband T/R modules, designed for the failure-free transmission of large volumes of data, in the overall system between now and the end of 2015.

The Thales Watchkeeper is a UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) especially designed to perform Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance missions

Oshkosh Defense to modernize the USMC's Extended Boom Forklift fleet
 
The United States Marine Corps System Command has awarded Oshkosh Defense, an Oshkosh Corporation company, a five-year contract to modernize the service’s Extended Boom Forklift (EBFL) fleet. Under the contract Oshkosh will modernize 495 EBFLs and provide approximately 100 armored cabs as well as replacement parts.

The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to the United Arab Emirates for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) Launchers and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $900 million. The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control in Dallas, Texas.

Russian S-400 Triumf air defense systems to be supplied to 12 missile regiments by 2020
 
New S-400 Triumf air defense systems will be supplied to 12 missile regiments of Russia’s Aerospace Defence Forces by 2020, their spokesperson, Colonel Alexei Zolotukhin said on Monday, September 29. Until the end of this year, four S-400 regiments will be protecting Moscow and the Central Industrial District of Russia, he said.

British Tornado GR4 aircrafts, currently deployed in Cyprus, have been flying intelligence gathering missions over Iraq for a number of weeks. Today, following the British Parliamentary approval given yesterday, in company with other aircraft from the international coalition, two Tornados conducted armed reconnaissance operations over areas of Iraq where the terrorists threaten the civilian population.

The parade was attended by 8,435 troops, including 4,613 members of the Army, 1,008 from Navy, 1,099 of the Chilean Air Force (FACH) and 1,715 carabinieri.
