Description

The 825 Artillery Fire Control System is Chinese-made radar especially designed to be used with anti-aircraft 57/35mm artillery weapon systems. This radar system is developed and manufactured by the Company Sichuan Electronics Military Industries Group Co. Ltd (SEMIC) is a regional company which was established in 2007 in Sichuan Province, China. It is formed by one research institute, six 2nd level sub-companies and nineteen 3rd level companies. The development and production of the complete system of the electronics equipment such as the land-based fire control radar and the ultra-low altitude intelligence radar are the core activities of the company. At CIDEX 2012, International Defence Electronics Exhibition in Beijing, SEMIC has unveiled a video showing the Iranian armed forces using the new Chinese-made 825 artillery fire control system with the Iranian made Samavat 35mm towed anti-aircraft twin cannon.

Design

The 825 artillery fire control radar system is trailer-mounted. When deployed in the operational position, 825 artillery fire control system is supported on four outriggers that have fine levelling. There is one single door to the right side of the trailer, two small windows on the left side and one to the rear.

Radar and command systems
The 825 artillery fire control system is equipped with two radars mounted on the top of the trailer. The tracking radar is mounted at the front which has a maximum detection range of 45 km in X band and 18 km in Ka band. The search radar is mounted just behind the tracking radar, it has a maximum range of 35 km. The system is also equipped with infrared detection and tracking system which has a maximum range of 12 km.
Operations
The 825 artillery fire control system features photoelectric combination and two systems in one radar & fire control computer. For the techniques of widening beam & MTI are adopted, the system quick reaction speed & acquisition capability are improved; For MTT technique is adopted, the moving target lock- on capability under the condition of ground clutter background is improved; For multiple advanced techniques of tracking radars at X/Ka bands infrared tracking system and intelligent TV tracking system etc. are adopted, the system comprehensive capabilities of anti - interference & counter - shadow are improved. And also, this system possesses good characteristics of light mobilization high reliability fine accuracy and easy & simple operation etc..
