According the Turkish Newspaper website Daily Sabah, the Turkish Defense Company Otokar has submitted its final offer to start the mass production of the Turkish-made main battle tank Altay. Altay is a third generation main battle tank designed and developed in Turkey under the Milli Tank Üretim Projesi ALTAY (MITÜP ALTAY) programme (Altay National Tank Project).
