At UMEX 2018, the International Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference, the French Company Naval Group demonstrates its expertise as drone integrator and presents its latest innovations. Naval Group started working on naval integration of aerial drones in 2005. The DGA (French Defence Procurement Agency - Direction Générale de l’Armement) commissioned several studies to develop this technology and to reach a high level quality in this sector.

At UMEX 2018, the International Unmanned Systems exhibition in Abu Dhabi, AirShare presents its OVERWATCH Interceptor-UX, a new solution to counter UAV using a surface-to-air missile able to create high-persistence countermeasure cloud. AirShare is Canadian-based Company with offices in Canada and the United States established to protect critical infrastructure and people from wayward and malicious UAVs (“drones”).

The final day at UMEX 2018, the International Unmanned Systems exhibition in Abu Dhabi, was dedicated for the live flying demonstration of unmanned aircraft at Al Ain International Airport. Nine local and international companies participated to the event, including the UAE-based ADASI, the live performances demonstrated the sophisticated maneuvering and surveillance capabilities of unmanned aerial systems as well as their ability to capture high-resolution aerial photos and trace targets with high accuracy and efficiency.

Leonardo is attending Abu Dhabi’s Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference (UMEX), taking place from February 25 to 27 in the Emirati capital. The Eli Drone Nest has been developed to provide a new dimension of autonomy to the already mature ELIX-XL multirotor platform. An installed drone nest provides an operational radius of 5km and a network of drone nests can deliver visual information from a vast area of land.

At UMEX 2018, the International Unmanned Systems Exhibition in Abu Dhabi (UAE), the Italian Company Piaggio Aerospace showcases its latest development of its P.1HH HammerHead, a state-of-the-art Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) designed for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The HammerHead UAS was developed from the design of the P.180 Avanti II commercial aircraft.

The American Company Qinetiq North America has developed the fifth generation of its TALON explosive ordnance disposal robot offering new capabilities and plug-and-play architecture for a full range of accessories. Since its introduction in 2000, QinetiQ North America’s TALON family of robots has earned a reputation for durability, flexibility, modularity and performance in keeping personnel, assets and civilians out of harm’s way.

The PD-1 unmanned aerial system is specially designed for ISTAR operations. A PD-1 system consists of two PD-1 unmanned aerial vehicles with 50cc gas engine, planar high resolution 35 MP or 50 MP digital camera, rugged case ground control station, communication link, video transmission link, video transmission link, antennas, spart parts and accessories.

The UAE-based Boat Manufacturing Company Al Marakeb, a leading maritime company building high-performance glass reinforced plastic (GRP) and marine autonomous vessels, showcases its latest development of unmanned surface vessel (USV) technologies called B7 at the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) 2018, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
