Russian Strategic Missile Troops to be equiped with Sarmat heavy ballistic missiles by 2020
 
Seven Russian missile regiments will be armed with silo-based 100-ton Sarmat heavy intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) complexes, a source in the defense industry complex told RIA Novosti Friday, December 26. “We plan on delivering this new complex to two missile divisions in Dombarovsky (Orenburg) and Uzhur (Krasnoyarsk) for a total of seven missile regiments with 46 silo-based launch facilities,” the source said.

South Korean tank maker Hyundai Rotem Co. said Monday it has signed a deal to supply 901.5 billion won (US$820.29 million) worth of battle tanks to the country's arms procurement agency. In November 2014, the country's Defense Acquisition and Procurement Agency announced that South Korea will deploy around 100 of its indigenously-built K-2 Black Panther main battle tanks (MBTs) by 2017.

U.S. has sent second missile radar AN/TPY-2 to Japan to boost protection against North Korea
 
The United States has sent a second missile radar system AN/TPY-2 to Japan as part of a strategy to boost its allies’ defense capabilities against a belligerent North Korea, the Pentagon said. The Pentagon, in cooperation with the Japanese Ministry of Defense, tested and constructed the AN/TPY-2 radar, which has been delivered for use by the US Pacific Command and US Northern Command.

Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio (95 percent), and Sterling Heights, Michigan (5 percent), with an estimated completion date of July 31, 2016.
