Russia presents a large range of combat and transport helicopters at Paris Air Show 2011
 
Russia has long been considered a leader in helicopter building. Since 1950 65,000 helicopters have been produced in the world overall. Our country has manufactured 26,000 helicopters and exported 6,000 of them. Modern production of Russian helicopter grows annually by 20-30 percent, and according to realistic forecasts by 2015 Russia will come to control up to 15 percent of the world helicopter market.

Elbit Systems to Supply DIRCM Directed Infra-Red Countermeasures Systems to the Italian Air Force

(NASDAQ and TASE: ESLT) ("Elbit Systems"), announced today, at the Paris Air Show, that it was awarded a contract valued in excess of $15 million by Elettronica S.p.A ("Elettronica") to participate in a program to supply the ELT/572 DIRCM (Directed Infra-Red Countermeasures) system for installation on various platforms of the Italian Air Force, including the C130J, C27J and AW101. The contract will be performed over the next three years.

Eurocopter Malaysia signs as anchor tenant for a new Helicopter Centre in Malaysia
 
A new Helicopter Centre will be developed within the Malaysian International Aerospace Centre and will become the hub for all rotary wing operations and activities. As the anchor tenant of the Helicopter Centre, Eurocopter Malaysia will begin operations at the new location from April 2012, with installation of a EC225/EC725 Full Flight Simulator also targeted for mid next year.
