Thales has delivered to the French defence procurement agency (DGA) two STP-NG new-generation platoon-level firing simulators for French Land Forces. These training simulators have entered into service at the Canjuers and Saumur (école de cavalerie) army bases to train forces to use the new systems equipped on the upgraded AMX-10 RCR vehicle.

The ID/IQ contract will support the Army's Product Manager for Guided Precision Munitions and Mortar Systems for US and foreign allied delivery requirements, with a maximum value of approximately $103 million, will be completed in five years.

Irkut, a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Corporation, has launched the testing of a multirole unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in development under the Proryv (Russian for ‘breakthrough’) program, according to the Izvestia daily. Previously, the drone was known as Yak-133. The UAV can reconnoiter and attack enemy targets while remaining invisible to enemy radars. It features an original aerodynamic configuration setting it far apart from traditional aircraft.
