According to Janes defense website, the South Korean Defense Company Samsung Techwin has confirmed that the South Korean army plans to purchase 800 EVO-105 105mm self-propelled truck howitzer. The first truck mounted 105mm howitzer was revealed to the media for the first time on 2011 at the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan, Seoul.

In preparation for an upcoming dual-intercept test later this year, a Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) Multifunction Fire Control Radar (MFCR) successfully acquired and tracked a Lance tactical ballistic missile (TBM) at White Sands Missile Range, N.M. This was the first attempt by a MEADS radar to track a live TBM.

Russia and Brazil are at the final stages of talks on the delivery of Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense systems to the Latin American country, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said. A Russian delegation, led by Shoigu, visited Brazil to discuss prospects of bilateral defense and space cooperation, including the sales of Pansir-S1 and Igla missile systems, during the Latin American tour on October 14-17.
