FLIR secures $93.9M US Army contract for Black Hornet 3 UAS


HVALSTAD, Norway - FLIR Unmanned Aerial Systems, based in Hvalstad, has been awarded a $93,889,000 firm-fixed-price contract by the U.S. Army for its Black Hornet 3 unmanned aerial systems (UAS), spare parts, and ancillary services. The contract announcement comes after bids were solicited via the Internet, with one bid received.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, headquartered in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity under the agreement (W91CRB-23-D-0008). Work locations and funding for the contract will be determined with each order, and the estimated completion date is set for April 11, 2028.
