The Company ATERMES designs, develops and produces equipments of high technologies dedicated for the defence, security, aeronautics, space and telecommunication.

BARIER™ system is composed of 4 to 8 autonomous Sentry beacons and a C2 Vehicle. The beacons are distributed on strategic viewpoints creating a 3 to 5 km deep virtual buffer zone. BARIER™ is designed to be deployed quickly by a single vehicle patrol and allows for a continuous night and day surveillance mission in the most unexpected rugged terrain.

The system works in an "ambush mode" operation thanks to its stealth erectable design to catch intruders with maximum efficiency. The system allows for a permanent automatic surveillance of difficult access areas (like mountains, deserts.)

The system is automatically fully parameterized thanks to the computer aided mission preparation. Sentry-Beacons are remotely controlled by a Local Command Post through a dedicated subscription-free telecommunication network.

The BARIER is able to make 15 to 40 km 24/7 border surveillance per system depending on field technology and sensor options. Several BARIER can be interconnected to offer an even larger area protection.
