Terma and Lockheed Martin announce partnership to field critical infrastructure protection system
Terma and Lockheed Martin announced during IDEX 2015 that they are partnering to field Terma’s Critical Infrastructure Protection System – T.react CIP – at the Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (MST) facility in Owego, New York. The system has been installed as an integral part of the existing security systems at the facility and thus provides the Lockheed Martin security staff with an enhanced surveillance system.

Terma’s Critical Infrastructure Protection System – T.react CIP

T. react CIP is a fast and precise way of detecting, identifying, and tracking both internal and external perimeter threats in areas where business continuation is essential. The system ensures that all relevant events are automatically detected, analyzed, prioritized, and presented according to severity – allowing the operators to focus attention on things that matter while the system sorts the action from distraction.

T. react CIP is designed to be the most advanced intelligent wide area perimeter security solution to date. It provides operators with maximum levels of security, situational awareness, and control of external environment, regardless of size,” explained Thomas Jensen, Vice President, Security Applications. “As all activity is monitored in real time, in all weather conditions, and at any time of day or night from a central level, security staff can quickly and accurately determine whether activity in the monitored area gives rise to take precautions.”

Terma has over 30 years of experience delivering command & control systems and surveillance radar technology for use in extreme conditions and hostile environments around the world. Based on this experience, T. react CIP is developed for surveillance and protection of critical infrastructure such as airports, ports, plants, and manufacturing areas, water supply systems, power plants, military facilities and installations.

The T. react CIP solution for the Owego campus is supplied with alarm systems and is composed of a SCANTER 1002 Ground Surveillance Radar (GSR), a control room with monitors, workstation, server and control system, thermal sensors, and a number of high-definition cameras.

The fielding of T. react CIP is part of an industrial cooperation agreement between Terma, Lockheed Martin, and the Danish Business Authority (DBA) following the Danish Defense procurement of MH-60R Seahawk multi-mission helicopters.

At IDEX 2015 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Terma introduces the T. react CIP solution for general availability.
