Russia to supply about 200 T-90S main battle tanks to Algeria
Russia launched the supplies of T-90S main battle tanks (MBT) to Algeria in 2015, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute`s (SIPRI) arms transfer database.

The contract between Russia and Algeria to supply approximately 200 T-90S MBT was supposedly signed in 2014. The related deliveries started in 2015. As of late 2015, Algeria received about 10 tanks (or tank kits for local assembly).

Algeria is a prominent Russian partner for military-technical cooperation (MTC). According to the SIPRI`s arms transfer database, Russian arms supplies to Algeria in 2014-2015 were valued at USD457 million.
