UK MoD builds new military logistics centre
The British Ministry of Defence will built a new logistics centre that will bring the quality of infrastructure to the industry’s best practices. It will be known as Defence Fulfillment Centre (DFC). The 80,000 square mile building will be used to better store medical supplies, food, clothing and other materials. The modern facility will also improve the supply chain.

The DFC will be located at Donnington and its cost will be GDP83 million. The site will be run by the US company Leidos, which will be supported by its key subcontractors Kuehne + Nagel and TVS Supply Chain Solutions.

According to the Defence Minister, Philip Dunne, the DFC will save up to GBP500 million in the next 13 years. The project is part of an wider 10-year investment plan of GBP160 billion to upgrade the Armed Forces to fulfill their international and NATO roles.
