"The air-droppings of the airborne infantry fighting vehicles equipped with the 'Bakhcha-U-PDS' parachute system have passed successfully. They took place as a part of the development phase of the joint state trials at the Chkalov State Flight-Test Center (Akhtubinsk, the Astrakhan Region). Since November 2015, 11 airborne infantry fighting vehicles (AIFV) and one airborne armoured personnel carrier (AAPC) have been air-dropped", an official said.

As the Technodynamics` director general, Maxim Kuzyuk said, the system`s joint state trials would last to late 2016.

"The development phase of the AIFVs air-dropping program has been finished. According to its results, there were no technical malfunctions of Bakhcha-U-PDS. The system has demonstrated the high level of reliability and effectiveness," Kuzyuk pointed out. According to him, the Bakhcha-U-PDS engineering documentation would be updated.

"Three (of five) air-droppings of AAPC have yet to be conducted as a part of the development phase. We suppose to launch the batch-produced systems supplies as early as 2017", Kuzyuk added.

Bakhcha-U-PDS developed by the Universal company is intended to provide the airborne armoured vehicles air-dropping from Il-76 (NATO reporting name: Candid) military transport planes and their modifications.

Bakhcha-U-PDS includes parachute, hanging and amortizing subsystems. The parachute system has been developed by the Parachute-making Scientific-Research Institute. It includes 11 blocks of main parachutes. Every block has a square of 350 sq. m. The parachurte system features the 'assisted inflation' function. It reliably provides the G-alleviation during landing.-
